Blender Operator 2nd Shift
Location: Lancaster, NY
Reports to: Warehouse Supervisor
Position Summary
The Blender Operator is responsible for providing a safe and efficient environment while setting up and operating
machines to mix or blend materials, along with cleaning and sanitizing the blender and factory processing areas as
required.
Responsibility
- Follow all safety and cGMP guidelines
- Verifies materials in totes by number, name and lot code
- Uses chain hoist to move product into position over the blender
- Load blender from tote and activate
- When cycle is complete, take samples for Quality Control and facilitate dump of remaining product into finished tote
- Clean or flush blender as required
- Fill out all appropriate paperwork
- Wear appropriate PPE
- Use body harness while gate on platform is open
- Excellent attendance is required
- Other duties and/or projects as assigned by the Production Supervisor
Qualifications
- The ability to read, write and communicate English
- Proficient in use of a chain hoist
- Write legibly
- Ability to handle heavy loads
- Capable of filling out forms and documents as required
