Sifter - 2nd & 3rd Shift

Position Summary

The Sifter is responsible for providing a safe and efficient environment while dumping bags of ingredients into a sifter and cleaning/sanitizing the fill station between lots/batches.

Responsibility

  • Verify materials by item number and name
  • Lift and dump 25 KG (55 pound) bags of ingredients into dump station sifter
  • Will handle up to 25,000 KG of material per shift
  • Verify that all required ingredients have been dumped for each tote
  • Clean fill station between lots/batches and make recycle bag bales
  • Fill out appropriate paperwork
  • Help keep sifting areas neat and clean
  • Wear appropriate PPE
  • Follow all safety guidelines
  • Other duties and/or projects as assigned by the Production Supervisor or other member of management

Qualifications

  • Must have good verbal and written communication skills
  • Write legibly
  • Capable of filling out forms per instructions
  • Self-motivated and have ability to handle heavy loads
